How to be Saved:

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.

Romans 10:9-10

So what does this mean or how would I do this? Here is a simple prayer example of what I believe this means:

“Dear Lord God, I am a sinner, and I am sorry for all my sins, I need a savior, and confess you sent you son Jesus to take my place to pay for my sins by dying on that cross for me.

I believe you raised him from the dead and he is now my hope, my savior, my king. Lord please come into my life and lead me from this time on into you truth, into your family.

Thank you God for hearing my prayer and saving me this day.  In Jesus name I pray this prayer. Amen.

IF YOU PRAYED THIS PRAYER, YOU HAVE NOW BEEN BORN AGAIN.

THE BIBLE ALSO SUGGEST YOU TELL SOMEONE WHAT YOU HAVE DONE AND JESUS WILL RECOGNIZE YOU AS HIS CHILD IN HEAVEN.

Now that you're saved you need to know that the devil will try and make you doubt your salvation and attempt trick you with false doctrines. The only way for you to not be fooled by his tricks is to read your Bible (a good church is also important, but you can't tell if you’re in the right one unless you know God's word for yourself).

I strongly recommend you get a copy of the Bible that you can easily understand. Here are a few suggestions of modern English translations that are readily available:
